چکیده
Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background/Introduction Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is very useful for planning the ablation ventricular tachycardias (VT) related to scar, since it allows identification anatomy, scar dense/border zone (DZ/BZ) and conduction channels (CC). However, access this test limited in many centres and, addition, artefacts generated by pacing/defibrillation devices (ICDs) can often make uninterpretable. Multidetector cardiac computed tomography (MDCT) offers advantages greater accessibility, better anatomical characterisation less device artefacts, although there little experience its use. Purpose The objective evaluate effectiveness integrating myocardial thickness analysis software with MDCT omnipolar electroanatomical mapping VT procedures patients cardiomyopathy. Methods Single-centre, descriptive study a serie patients, ICD carriers, that underwent ablation: - Patient 1- 72-year-old male ischaemic heart disease. 2- 46-year-old left arrhythmogenic 3- 60-year-old biventricular 4- 28-year-old female right was performed on all images were post-processed using software. A 3D colour map created DZ, BZ CC. This fused during electrophysiological technology. Results In cases high correlation between CC detected postprocessed area pathological voltage late electrograms map. patient-1, CT coincides diastolic corridor clinical (image 1A). patient 2, identified direct relationship circumflex artery superior region DZ 1B). 3 4, scan DZ/BZ outflow tract coronary arteries phrenic nerve 1 C D). Conclusions positioned as an alternative MRI ablation, localises critical structures identifies accurately.

Mapping and ablation of polymorphic ventricular tachycardia after myocardial infarction.
OBJECTIVES The goal of this study was to describe the mapping and ablation of polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (VT) after myocardial infarction (MI). BACKGROUND The initiating mechanisms of polymorphic VT after MI have not been reported. METHODS Five patients (four males; age 61 +/- 7 years) with recurrent episodes of polymorphic VT after anterior MI (left ventricular ejection fraction 3...
متن کاملEvaluation of Metal Artifact Reduction software in Computed Tomography
Introduction: The image quality of computed tomography (CT) can be seriously lowered by metal implants of patients. These implants are known to exert a significant impact on diagnostic accuracy due to artifacts. The current study aimed to assess the usefulness of Metal Artifact Reduction (MAR) software in the reduction of metal artifacts, in comparison to iterative rec...
متن کاملComputed Tomography Imaging in Atrial Fibrillation Ablation.
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common supraventricular arrhythmia in adults and catheter ablation has increasingly become the therapy of choice for symptomatic, recurrent, drug refractory AF. The purpose of this review is to evaluate the utility of computed tomography (CT) imaging in guiding radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA), as well as highlight the additional radiographic and func...
متن کاملArtifact reduction techniques in Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) imaging modality
Introduction: Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) was introduced and became more common based on its low cost, fast image procedure rate and low radiation dose compared to CT. This imaging modality improved diagnostic and treatment-planning procedures by providing three-dimensional information with greatly reduced level of radiation dose compared to 2D dental imaging modalitie...

progressive endo-epicardial dissociation, transforming the atria into an electrical double layer of dissociated waves that constantly ‘feed’ each other. Figure 1 gives a diagrammatic presentation of the double layer hypothesis. In Figure 1A and B, a rotor is compared with an epicardial breakthrough. Whereas a rotor at best can maintain itself, endo-epicardial breakthroughs act as multiplication...
